Will Smith apologized to Chris Rock, a day after hitting the comedian on stage at the Oscars.
Smith wrote in a black and white text post that his behavior at the Academy Awards was unacceptable. A joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.
Smith confronted Rock during the presentation of the best documentary feature after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair loss. The King Richard actor mounted the stage and hit Rock, before returning to his seat and shouting.
Smith apologized to Rock for his behavior.
Smith apologized to Chris and said he was wrong. My actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.

The Los Angeles Police Department stated that Rock has declined to file charges against Smith.
