The Museum of the Future is located in a stunning building adorned with poetic Arabic calligraphy and aims to inspire discussions about the scientific and technological advancement humans might achieve.

Visitors to the Museum of the Future will be able to explore interactive exhibits which will allow them to imagine what the future might hold.

Along with a permanent exhibit, the museum plans to bring together leading scientists in the region to position Dubai as a testbed for emerging technologies and an exploration base for talents, inventors and creative professionals from all over the world.

Nine years in the making, the museum's permanent exhibits transport visitors to the year 2071 to imagine what technology will look like in 50 years.

In one exhibit visitors are invited to a space station 600 miles above the earth to imagine how the moon could be turned into a renewable energy source. Visitors to a spot that recreates a digitally recreated Amazon rainforest can observe different species but also look at parts of the forest they might not see with their own eyes.

There are 25 best things to do in the city.

Future Heroes is a section for children in the museum. Children become players in the exhibit, problem-solving to conquer challenges, while collecting badges for their achievements.

One part of the exhibit serves as a sanctuary, allowing visitors to disengage from technology and connect with mind, body and spirit, even if they suspect that an entire museum dedicated to technological advancement might cause some digital fatigue.

The design of the museum is a nod to the same scientific innovation it wishes to inspire.

The hollows in the center of the building are meant to look toward the future. The number of panels on the outside of the building is the same as the number of kilobyte in a computer.

How to get around in the city.

Each of the panels was created using a combination of computers and machines to create a 3D map of more than 15,000 meters of Arabic script. There are three quotes from the United Arab Emirates Vice President and Prime Minister.

The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it and execute it. It isn't something you wait for, but rather create.

The museum is open all day. You must have a ticket for a timed entry into the museum in order to enter.

The price is for adults and children over the age of three. Children younger than three are free to enter.
