Peppers will be in New England on Monday for a visit.

The connection between Peppers and Judge, who was the New York Giants head coach the previous two seasons, was reported by Field Yates.

Peppers was part of the trade that sent Beckham to Cleveland and spent the last three seasons in New York. He was limited to just six games last season because of injuries he sustained in the Giants Week 7 game.

Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reported that Judge was a big fan of Peppers and that the coach wanted to keep the safety on the roster.

Peppers has the type ofVersatility that could make him thrive in New England, even though the injury will lower his value on the open market. He thrived at Michigan when he was allowed to play a jack-of-all-trades role.

Pro Football Focus gave Peppers mediocre marks in four of his five seasons in the NFL.

It would be a perfect move for the Pats to acquire Peppers at his lowest point and find the right role for him.
