March has been a good month for fans of the comic book series. The first trailer for this June's Ms. Marvel was released last week, and in a few days, we will finally get to see Oscar Isaac step into the supernatural side of the MCU and become the Moon Knight. Just before the weekend, it was announced that Nova, the Human Rocket, would be receiving a solo project.
The hope was that the Nova Corps would show up in the MCU, after they were wiped out in the movie. The character has been given a steady stream of comic appearances after his death and resurrection, despite being a non-entity in the MCU thus far. Sam Alexander replaced him as the headline of a short-lived Nova comic. Rich became a representative of the Nova Corps throughout the universe after the book ended and has become an active player in recent events. Empyre and Annihilation: Scourge is a movie.
Getting his own show or film is a big deal for Richard. Outside of comics, his appearances are mostly video games. He didn't have a character model or voice attached to him when he was dropped in the game. This live action property is the first real experience that many will have with the character, since Nova doesn't exist or is explicitly Sam in the various animated series.
