The guy still has value behind center.

Over the last couple of years, the career of former NFL Most Valuable Player CamNewton has fallen off a cliff. After visiting New England,Newton returned to Carolina. Even if he is a backup, a couple of teams could still use his skill set.

I think I've proved to the people I need to prove to my worth, I don't. Can I tell you if I want to play football? Yeah. Under the right conditions.

It is not known whether the ideal situation will come along forNewton. There are a few teams that should probably take a look at Cam and bring him in for training.

Arizona Cardinals

Just hear me out. We know that there is no chance that Cam will be the starter with Kyler Murray. Maybe having a backup that also had his maturity questioned as a young NFL QB a decade ago could do Murray some good.

After the season ended, Kyler took down all mentions of the Cards on his social media. He downplayed it when he spoke about it publicly. If Murray misses time on the field like he did last year, the offense wouldn't need to change much if the Cards decide to bring in a mentor.

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle no longer has a legit quarterback with Russell Wilson out of the picture. It's hard to believe that Drew Lock will be the starting quarterback for the Seahawks in the 2022-23 season. One of the toughest divisions in the world will be the NFC West. You would think Pete Carroll would want Lock to fight for the starting spot.

Seattle should bring in a new starter. Although he is a free agent, Geno Smith is still an option. Geno could be brought back by the Seahawks, and they could have a battle with Drew for the QB1 slot. Seattle is one of the few places where he could potentially become the starter. Seattle probably won't win more than six games next season.

Atlanta Falcons

Last week, Atlanta traded away long-time starter and former league Most Valuable Player Matt Ryan. They have signed journeyman quarterback Marcus Mariota, but his backups are free agents. The two men are unrestricted and restricted.

Since leaving Carolina, a healthy Cam should have enough left in the tank to beat either of the two quarterbacks. One would assume so. At this point, nothing is guaranteed forNewton. He would be returning to the region where he grew up. It would be great to see him finish his career with the team that drafted him No.1 overall. There is a chance thatNewton could see some action because of the history of being banged up and missing games.

Time is running out forNewton in this league. I think there is a spot forNewton, but he won't be as quarterback. If Superman rediscovers his powers, he will transform into a super cam in 2015. He needs to be prepared to accept a role holding the iPad on the sideline for whichever team signs him.
