Everybody wake up! It's better than the three-hour interview he had with Joe Rogan back in 2021.
Business Insider published a lengthy transcript of Musk's work with Starlink. Musk spoke with the CEO of Insider and said he was confident in Starlink's ability to outmaneuver Russian missiles. Musk has been helping Ukraine maintain internet connection during Russia's violent and ongoing invasion of the country, and he says some parts of the country only have access to Starlink services because of compromised infrastructure.
Success seems to rely on both speed and sheer numbers, and his ability to keep satellites aloft is more important than ever.
There are 2000 satellites and it's not easy to take out Starlink. I hope we don't have to put this to a test, but I think we can launch satellites faster than they can launch anti-satellites missiles.
In his conversation with Döpfner, Musk seems a bit more respectful. While the two talked about everything from artificial intelligence to colonization of Mars, Musk focused on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
He said that a war of this kind wasn't fashionable anymore.
It is surprising to see that in this day and age, Musk said. It is concerning.
The civil war in Yemen and other countries that have taken millions of lives and caused long term instability, food shortages and refugee crises seem to be forgotten by people. We're not surprised that Musk is taking a Euro-centered view, but some of his words suggest he's also begun to consider his impact on the planet as one of the world's richest people.
Maybe the seriousness of the war in Europe has encouraged Musk to grow up a little.
Musk told the other CEO that he could be helpful in conflicts. Sometimes I make mistakes in this area. I do whatever I can to make the future a good one. I will take those actions.
