Jesse Williams has asked the courts to reduce his child support payments for his two children with Aryn Drake-Lee.

After he divorced, a judge ordered him to provide for the kids, but he says he can't afford it. Drake-Lee does not believe him.

According to Radar Online, the mother's attorney wants him to continue to pay the court-ordered amount that he has for the last three years. According to reports, Williams has been paying $40,000 a month for child support.

In December of 2021, the former Grey's Anatomy star filed a motion under seal asking for their support obligations to be lessened. He thinks the current amount is based on his previous job.

He made $6.2 million and $183k in residuals for his work on the hit ABC show. His income has plummeted since he left the show. He claims that he makes only $1,668 per week as an actor in Take Me Out.

His claim to the court says that he wants the court to reduce the child support to a reasonable amount because of his reduced income.

The child support should be reflective of our two young children's actual lifestyle and not some fanciful version.

He left the show because he thought it was going to end and he wanted to grow as an artist.

According to the filing, Drake-Lee is not working despite holding a real estate agent's license in New York. She should return to her job to support the children.

Williams willful departure from the show is an excuse for him not to step up.

Jesse left a high-paying position on a successful T.V. show to pursue his own path, and now wants to give up his family responsibilities.

Her lawyer writes that she mentioned her education and prior earnings as a real estate agent. He fails to mention thatryn gave up her career in New York for him more than 13 years ago to focus on building his acting career and businesses.

The filing stated that her income was comparable to her income now.

The squabbles over the care for the children have landed them in court.

Williams wanted a Los Angeles judge to modify his custodial schedule so he could see his children while he was in New York. Williams will be allowed to spend four days a month in NYC with his children. The ruling specified that two of those days will be weekends.

The judge decided that the co-parents will continue their joint custody arrangement and that he will have tie-breaking authority.

Drake-Lee tried to get the judge to reduce the actor's time in jail.

The judge made some concessions.

The judge suggested that the two get a third party to help with some of the details of their relationship with their children.

When Williams cancels some parenting time, the guidelines state that he cannot later cancel.

If they can't agree on extracurricular activities, Drake-Lee will get the authority.

The ruling states that the mother should appreciate that the father can't give her certain schedules as far in advance as she wants.

The judge told the two that the co-parenting counseling order was the most important aspect of the orders being made.

He advised that a court is not as well equipped to handle the parents themselves through a third-party coordinator or counselor than it is to handle the parties.

A judge has spoken to them before about their need to get along for the sake of the children.
