This weekend the Academy Awards return to celebrate a great year of film releases. With vaccinations now widely available, theaters saw record-breaking ticket sales as people returned to see highly anticipated releases. The Power of the Dog and Don't Look Up were both nominated for an Academy Award.
When the event airs on ABC tonight, people with traditional cable or antenna packages will be able to watch it. Several services will carry the coverage if you don't have a cable box.
There will be plenty of celebrity guest appearances at the Academy Awards, hosted by Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall. The presentations include Josh Brolin, Jacob Elordi, Jake Gyllenhaal, and others.
Beyonc and Finneas are both expected to perform at the event.
ABC will show the Oscars at 8PM.
The event can be watched on abc.com or the ABC app. viewers will be able to watch the event on live TV services ABC is not currently carried by Sling in any market. The AirTV solution is often used by users as a workaround. ABC broadcasts the following live TV services.
The Academy Awards will be available on-demand the day after, according to ABC.
The Oscars will air in more than 200 territories, but coverage is licensed to each country and their various broadcast partners. In Canada, the show will be on the network.
The Power of the Dog, Dune, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, and Don't Look Up were nominated for the Best Picture award. There is a full list of nominees in every category.
