The death of the 14-year-old who died on a ride at an amusement park was tragic, but he had a promising future ahead of him.

Brandon Gregory, a football coach at East St. Louis High School, said that Tyre was a gifted athlete with the potential to earn a scholarship to a Division 1 football program.

While he was in 8th grade, we were told that he was already working out with the team at East St. Louis and caught the attention of Gregory.

As you can see, Tyre is a big kid for a middle schooler, and he played on the offensive line.

Gregory says that all the coaches and players on the team noticed the work ethic of Tyre, who always stayed late to improve his game. He was considered a potential starter going into his freshman year by the coaching staff, and one who would be a key part of the team for years to come.

We were told that Tyre worked out with the team as recently as Tuesday, before heading down to Florida with a teammate.

As we reported. There was a death at ICON Park on Thursday night. He fell to his death on the ride.
