The owner of a superyacht is returning to Russia.

According to the website SuperYacht Fan, the owner of the 465-foot vessel is Alexei Mordashov.

According to MarineTraffic and VesselFinder, the yacht is on its way to the city of Vladivostok, which is close to North Korea. The vessel's movement was reported by Bloomberg.

The West has imposed sanctions on Russia to crush its economy and put pressure on Putin to call off his invasion of Ukraine. The measures include freezing the assets of Russian elites.

The European Union accused Mordashov of supporting actions and policies which undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

The day after the EU sanctions were announced, Mordashov told the Russian news outlet TASS that he didn't understand why the EU had imposed sanctions on him. He was also sanctioned by the UK.

Italy has already seized a $71 million superyacht belonging to Mordashov, as well as a $116 million property in Sardinia. The invasion has caused some billionaires to shift their private jets.

According to MarineTraffic and VesselFinder, the last time they saw Nord was in the Singapore Strait. The yacht has a cinema, sauna, swimming pool, and helicopter hangar, according to SuperYacht Fan.

The developers of the yacht, which SuperYacht Fan identified as Nuvolari Lenard, did not respond to Insider's request for comment about the vessel's ownership. The Russian mining company that Mordashov majority-owns and controls did not respond to Insider.

Mordashov is thought to be Russia's third-richest person, with an estimated net worth of $21.8 billion, but his wealth has plummeted since Russia invaded Ukraine.

Mordashov is among the Russian billionaires who are shuffling their assets after being hit with sanctions. Mordashov shifted his 34% stake in the travel company in two transactions on the day he was hit by EU sanctions. A wife is believed to control a British Virgin Islands company that received a 30% stake.

Mordashov stepped down as a director and transferred control of a $1.1 billion stake in the mining company to his wife.
