Eriksen scores emotional goal following his return to Denmark (0:53)

After suffering a cardiac arrest during the Euros, Christian Eriksen scored his first goal in two minutes. (0:54)

In his first appearance for his country since he suffered a cardiac arrest during a match, Christian Eriksen scored just two minutes after coming on as a substitute.

After coming on as a half-time substitute, Eriksen made an immediate impact, firing a first-time shot into the top corner of the net to reduce the Netherlands' lead to 3-2. The Netherlands would go onto win 4-2 but not before Eriksen hit the post.

European, African World Cup qualification can be seen on the US network.

The goal was the first in a competition for Eriksen since May 23, 2021, for Inter Milan. He hadn't played for the Danes since June of last year, when he collapsed after the Euro 2020 opener.

After signing for the club on a free transfer in January, the former Inter Milan player has excelled at the club.

He provided an assist in the 2-0 win over Burnley on March 12.
