Kyzir White signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, according to reports.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are signing White to a one-year contract worth up to $5 million.

White has spent his entire four-year career with the Los Angeles Clippers and has set career highs in tackles, tackles for loss, two picks and forced turnovers.

White was selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft out of West Virginia and immediately transitioned from safety to linebacker.

White was limited to three games as a first-year player due to a knee injury, but he gradually got more playing time and became a bigger part of the defense in each of the following three seasons.

White had 40 tackles and one interception in 16 games in 2019. He played in 77 games in 2020 and started 10 of them.

White started all 17 regular-season games last season, which came at an ideal time for him since his contract was up in 2021.

White didn't get a big multi-year deal in free agency, but all signs point to him being a starter in Philadelphia.

The Eagles have had a lot of problems with the Linebacker over the past few seasons, and it was going to be an issue again in 2022, before the White signing.

The Eagles addressed the position by signing pass-rushing linebacker Haason Reddick in free agency, but the other starting linebackers were penciled in as T.J. Edwards and Davion Taylor.

White is expected to take Taylor's spot, giving the Eagles the most talented linebacker corps they have had in years.

The Eagles made the playoffs last season under first-year head coach Nick Sirianni, and based on some of the moves the Eagles have made this season, including the signing of White, they have a chance to return to the playoffs in 2022.
