President Joe Biden said on Saturday that Russian leader Vladimir Putin cannot remain in power.
In a speech in Poland, Biden urged democracies around the world to unite against Russia and commit to a historic battle against authoritarian aggression.
He said that they need to be clear eyed.
Biden directly and repeatedly condemned Putin, accusing the Russian president of using brute force and disinformation to satisfy a craving for absolute power and control.
Biden called Putin's use of Nazi imagery a lie. He said that the Russian ruble has been reduced to rubble because of the international sanctions.
