The busiest summer season ever for United Airlines will cause two new routes to not take-off.
The summer schedule of United Airlines was removed this week.
Live and Let's Fly reached out to United to confirm the cancellation.
“United makes regular adjustments to our schedule in response to a number of factors including demand, costs and resources. We look forward to bringing this route back into our network as soon as the market allows.”
The Berlin flight was also canceled.
Passengers booked on these flights will be re-accommodated through the other airports. If the automatic rebooking option isn't right for you, you can ask for a refund or discuss other options with United.
Since the War in Ukraine began, we have had clients cancel or delay travel plans to Central and Eastern Europe. I don't think that the Ukraine War will have an impact on the city of Prague, but I do think that some people are hesitant to enter that part of Europe.
The German capital is one of my favorite cities in Europe, so United will not expand service there. The Berlin service will continue.
The most likely explanation is that United needed those aircraft for other markets. United is restarting service to Los Angeles and Denver, as well as expanding in London. Other new routes are also being launched.
The additional routes will launch as planned, according to United.

The new service to Berlin will not be launched by United Airlines. United says it hopes to launch these routes in the future. It won't be this summer.
