The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum is located in the heart of St.Helena and is open to the public.

Stevenson wrote many novels, travel books, poems, and articles. He traveled a lot and met his wife in San Francisco and honeymooned in the valley. Their time in the heart of California's wine region was documented in his book, The Silverado Squatters.

The founder of the California museum had a collection of 800 items. It included various editions of Stevenson's works, books and articles about the author, and some of Stevenson's personal correspondences and belongings. The museum's collection has grown even larger since it was established, and now includes paintings, photographs, and more.

The RLS Museum is a great place to get away from the bustle of wine country, learn more about one of its beloved visitors, and take away an unexpected treasure, perfect for those who are fans of Stevenson or just wish to learn a bit more about this influential author.
