The Chicago Bears are looking at trade options for Nick Foles after they added another veteran to their quarterback room Friday.

According to Mike Garafolo, the Bears have already looked into trade opportunities and will continue to do so. Garafolo said that the writing is on the wall when it comes to the end of the tenure in Chicago.

Ian Rapoport reported earlier Friday that the Bears had signed veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian to a two-year, $4 million contract in free agency. Second-year man Justin Fields is expected to be the backup.

The Chicago Bears acquired a fourth-round draft pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Mitchell Trubisky appeared in nine games and was a starter in seven of them. As the starter, he completed 64.7% of his passes for 1,852 yards, 10 touchdown and eight interceptions.

After allowing Trubisky to leave via free agency, the Bears allowed Nick Foles to slide down the depth chart.

Although he started one game, he went 24 of 35 for 250 yards with one touchdown and no picks.

He has been used as a backup in recent seasons, but he will always be remembered for his time with the Philadelphia Eagles.

One of the most unexpected runs in the history of the NFL's playoffs was led by Nick Foles, who took over for the injured Carson Wentz.

He threw for 971 yards, six touchdown and one interception in three playoff games, and he was named the game's Most Valuable Player in a shocking Super Bowl LII upset of Tom Brady and the New England Pats.

It has been difficult for him to achieve the same level of success since he joined the Bears.

Over a long period of time, he can be a productive starter. He went 8-2 in 10 starts with the Eagles and threw for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdown and just two picks, leading to his only Pro Bowl selection.

Any number of teams could benefit from having a veteran backup for Foles. It is possible that those teams will sign him after he is released rather than giving up assets to get him.
