The US and the EU have announced a major deal on liquified natural gas in an attempt to reduce Europe's reliance on Russian energy.
The US will give the EU at least fifteen billion more cubic metres of gas by the end of the year.
The bloc said it would cut Russian gas use in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
Increasing imports and generating more renewable energy is what that will mean.
The deal was announced during a visit by US President Joe Biden.
Mr Biden and Ursula von der Leyen talked about the invasion of Ukraine and offered support.
Russia is a major supplier of energy to Europe, and its war with Ukraine has helped push energy prices to record highs.
Before the invasion, energy prices were going up as economies recovered from the Covid crisis.
The EU pledges to cut Russian gas use by two-thirds this year by hiking imports from other countries and boosting renewable energy.
