Ukrainian forces say they blew up a Russian landing ship near Berdyansk.

A video on social media shows a large amount of smoke and flames coming from a ship, while two other ships are seen sailing away. According to the open source research account, the Caesar Kunikov and the Novocherkassk were damaged in the attack, which they claim was caused by Ukraine's missile. There was a fire on the foredeck of one of the ships.

The Orsk sailed in Berdyansk on Monday to deliver military equipment. The ship could carry up to 20 tanks or 40 armored personnel carriers, according to a Russian television station.

The arrival of the large landing craft at the port of Berdyansk is an epic event that opens up opportunities for the Black Sea in terms of logistics by using the port of Berdyansk infrastructure to the full extent, according to a Russian officer.

Despite weeks of fighting and heavy bombing, the Russian military was unable to secure the capital city of Ukraine.

The Russian offensive in the south has left Mariupol without heat or electricity for weeks, and Berdyansk is a Ukrainian port on the Sea of Azov.
