The easiest way to use the emojis is with a Discord account. There are a few options to do that.
You can use the menu. You can open this by clicking on the gray face on the right side of the message box.

There is a section that tracks what emojis you have used the most, as well as a menu that contains both standard and Discord-exclusive ones.
You can type in the name of the emoji you want to use. You can find the name of the emoji through the menu. For example, :smile: is a name.
If you want to make your own custom emojis, you may want to consider uploading them to your Discord account.
The process is easy if you have permission to add them. The images will be enlarged so that they fit the requirements.
You are capped at 50 custom emojis slots per server. If you want to get more slots, you need to have users on the server with the Nitro accounts. You can add up to 250 custom emojis if you boost your server.
If you don't have a Discord account, you can only use the custom emojis in the server they've been uploaded to. You will need to pay for a Nitro account in order to use them.
You will need to use the browser or desktop version of Discord to upload your own emojis.
1. Click the arrow next to the server&s name in the top- left corner of the screen to open the server you want to use.
2. Select the settings you want.
3. In the left sidebar, you can click on "Emojis" and then select "Upload Emoji".
4. Add your image to your server.
You can use the mobile app to add emojis to a server.
1. You can open the app on your phone.
2. You can add the custom emoji by selecting the Discord server you want to use and then using the ellipses in the top right.
3. On the gear icon, tap on the settings.
4. You can use the Emoji in the settings.
5. The Upload Emoji button is on the screen.
6. You can choose the image you want to use.
If you want to get rid of a particular custom emoji, the process is very simple.
1. You can open the desktop app or go to the Discord website.
2. Click on the arrow next to the server&s name if you want to remove the custom emoji.
3. Click on the server settings option from the list of options.
4. In the left panel, you can select the Emoji.
5. Click on the red X button on the right if you want to remove the emoji.
