Paul George practiced with the Clippers for the first time in more than three months as he tries to return before the start of the playoffs.
The Clippers said that George is in the next phase of his rehabilitation program as he recovers from a torn ulnar collateral in his right elbow. He is out for the game against the 76ers.
George was cleared for practice after participating in a drill with minimal contact against the Clippers.
Clippers coach Ty Lue said prior to Thursday's practice that he is doing well. Making sure he can continue to go through minimal contact without any issues, just working on his conditioning. It has not been a problem as of right now.
During the All-Star break, George was seen shooting with his left hand on the practice court. George was seen shooting with his right hand.
The Clippers could get reinforcements for the play-in tournament if they finish in the top eight.
Norman Powell, who has been limited to three games after being acquired before the trading deadline, has begun shooting on the court. Powell has yet to be cleared for contact practice after breaking a bone in his foot.
Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris, and Nic Batum are veterans and the Clippers hope to reduce their minutes in the last eight games.
