Salah has scored 20 Premier League goals for Liverpool this season

If he left the Reds, Michael Owen says that Mohamed Salah would go to Manchester City or somewhere else.

The contract of the 29-year-old Egypt forward runs out in the summer of 2023.

He has previously said he wanted to stay but his future is in Liverpool's hands while Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has said "it's Mo's decision".

I would be very surprised if he didn't sign with the Reds. Owen asked what the options were at the moment.

You are only going to Manchester City or anywhere else if you want to see how good these two teams are.

Let's give everyone time because these things don't happen overnight.

One of the biggest clubs in the world and one of the biggest players in the world is about to sign the biggest contract of his life.

Owen said that negotiations can drag on a little bit.

In just over two years with the club, the Egyptian has scored over 150 goals and is the club's all-time leading scorer.

During his time at the club, he has helped the club win many titles.

Owen, who scored 40 goals for England, started his career atLiverpool before moving on to Real Madrid, Manchester United and other clubs.

Speaking at the launch of the new tournament to help British Asians showcase their talents, he believes thatLiverpool should not break their wage structure to keep their star player.

You cannot give players what they want. He said that the whole game would be a disaster if that was the case.

They have to run it as a business. They cannot give any player what they want because there are lots of other players in the squad that could be saying, "Hey, hang on a minute, we want you." The whole structure they have built over the years would fall apart.

I am sure that Mo Salah and his representatives understand that and are very sensible. Hopefully, everyone will find the middle ground soon.

If Mo Salah is thinking about the chances of success in the future, then he should choose to play for LFC. It is just a question of whether they tick the box financially as well.

Four teams from London, Derby, Birmingham City andLeicester City will compete in the Pride Park stadium in Derby County on 8 May in the Indian Penal Code soccer tournament, with British Asian players selected through regional trials and networks.

Emile Heskey, Lee Hendrie, and ex-Aston Villa player Gabby Agbonlahor are all involved in the teams.

Scouts from a number of professional clubs are invited to the tournament.

There are plans to add a women's tournament in 2023.
