According to Local 10 News Miami, Masvidal was arrested on a felony battery charge on Wednesday.
Masvidal was arrested in Florida for battery with a mask and criminal damage with a bond set at $15,000.
According to a police report, Masvidal attacked Covington outside of a restaurant in Miami Beach. Masvidal ran up tovington from his left and punched him twice in the face without warning.
He had a fractured tooth, a wrist injury, and damage to his watch. The police documents said the attack was felony battery.
After defeating Masvidal with relative ease during their meeting at UFC 272, this is what this means. It was the third straight loss for Masvidal.
He bounced back from his loss to Usman with a win over Masvidal.
