A young truck driver in Texas got a ride of his life when he drove through the tornado's funnel.

The tornado destroyed a mobile home and injured one before crossing the road, sending debris and dust across the highway. There was a lone red truck and its driver that was in the path of the twister.

The truck, a red 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, was destroyed by the tornado as it crossed the highway in front of storm chaser Brian Emfinger.

The power lines that were in the path of the tornado buckled and caused the truck to be pushed onto its side. With the truck fully on its side, the winds spun the vehicle a full circle, causing it to flip back onto all four wheels, all while whipping around large debris from the mobile home, trees and power lines.

The red pickup truck was thrown on its side and flipped onto its four wheels. Leon had only minor injuries. Brian Emfinger.

The driver, Riley Leon, sounded cool and collected as he recounted the amazing moment on Wednesday morning.

Leon said that it was a shocking moment for him.

Leon was in shock after the event, according to Ruben Briones, who later helped the driver. Leon left the damaged truck in Elgin, according to Briones.

The photos show how the tornado hit the truck. There are a lot of scratches and dents on the driver side of the red truck.

"He was in shock; he was crying," said Ruben Briones, who said he helped the driver of the red pickup truck seen flipping over on Highway 290 in Elgin in a widely-circulated video.https://t.co/JNAhRHD9AI
