Naomi Osaka won her opening match at the Miami Open and wants to move on from her traumatic early exit at Indian Wells.
The last match I played was not the greatest memory for Osaka, who said that she didn't want to let anything bother her.
I wanted to prove that I could come back out here and compete, even if I didn't win, to just know that I had the best attitude I could.
The win by Osaka was her 50th in the tournament and she will face Kerber in the second round.
In the second round of the men's draw, Britain's Jack Draper, the world number 146, will face off against British number one Cameron Norrie.
The 20-year-old won his first Masters-level victory and hopes to move into the world's top 100.
