It looks like at least one corporation has reached the ultimate marketing frontier: advertising to us in our dreams.

One woman says she took part in a Coors experiment that tricked her into thinking she was a domestic beer drinker.

Gould told The Hustle that in 2021, she responded to a strange ad that claimed that a big brand was willing to pay $1,000 for willing sleepers.

Gould and the other subjects were told to try to sleep while listening to the audio from the video they just watched. The travel writer said she had a series of weird Coors dreams for the next eight hours.

Gould told The Hustle that he had one where he was jumping around with products.

After the dream session, the travel writer said she and her fellow subjects were made to discuss the experience in a focus group, which made them feel like lab rats.

Gould said that they were trying to implant Coors into our brains.

We have heard of attempts to inject ads into dreams before.

In June 2021, Science Magazine reported that Burger King, along with others, were working with scientists to create ads into volunteers' dreams. Sound familiar?

40 dream researchers signed an open letter calling for the regulation of dream manipulation, which is currently voluntary.

The researchers wrote that the tailored soundtracks would become background scenery for our sleep, as the endless billboards that litter American highways have become for our waking life.

The researchers said that their actions set the stage for a corporate assault on our very sense of who we are.

It seems like their warnings were correct.
