The new trailer for Alex Garland’s Men goes from quaint to terrifying

Alex Garland, best known for his work on Annihilation and Ex Machina, directed the latest trailer for Men, which starts out quaint and cozy, but it doesn't last long. It starts with an uncomfortable joke and then gets more frightening as it goes on. You can check out the trailer on social media if the embedded above doesn't work.

The film is described as a "feverish, shape-shifting new horror film."

In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Jessie Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.
