Existing deposit holders will be charged an extra $50 for Starlink hardware, and those who haven't reserved an order will be charged $599 for the kit, which includes the Starlink receiver dish, modem and router. The monthly price is going up by $11. All prices here reflect US rates, but global customers are getting an equivalent hike.
According to an email to existing customers, the sole purpose of the new pricing structure is to keep pace with rising inflation. If a customer has been on the service for less than a year, the company will give them a partial or full refund.
The email states that Starlink has expanded its infrastructure considerably since launch, quadrupling the number of ground stations in place to relay communication.
