Black box found from Boeing passenger jet that crashed in China, state media says

The black boxes from the China Eastern Airlines plane crash have been found, according to Chinese state media.

Technical equipment on airplanes can reveal reasons for a crash.

State media said that the box was damaged, but it was not clear if it was the one that recorded flight data or cockpit communications.

A Boeing plane carrying 132 people nosedived in a rural, mountainous part of the southern region. Authorities haven't confirmed any deaths or shared why the crash happened.

Rescue workers haven't found any survivors from this week's crash.
