The Golden State Warriors knew they had a difficult final stretch to the regular season after Stephen Curry went down with a foot injury.

The entire system is built around Curry. Steve Kerr said it was like a domino effect when he was out of the lineup.

They have dropped three games in a row, most recently a 94-90 loss to the Magic on Tuesday night. The level of concern is growing.

Draymond Green said after the loss to the Magic that they were playing stupid. We are getting punked because we are not playing good basketball. It is hard to win a game. That is where we are right now.

The Warriors were held to 16 points in the final quarter. It was more than that period that cost them the game.

Golden State didn't do well on a laundry list of things, including being late on switches and setting illegal screens. The execution of the Warriors has been poor.

Kerr said that they have to be smarter. I know these guys are great. I like these guys. I know they want to win. We need to learn how to win. We don't know how to win.

In order to execute that requires a certain level of physical strength. We are not meeting that.

Time is running out for the Warriors to learn how to win. Adding Curry back into the lineup won't fix the current issues they're dealing with, just as the issues the Warriors had without Green or Klay Thompson weren't immediately fixed when they returned from their respective injuries.

Green said that this has nothing to do with Steph. That is not his job.

Golden State doesn't like to use the fact that it hasn't had a fully healthy roster as an excuse. Every team in the league goes through it, the Warriors say. It does not make them special. And it is true.

The Warriors have to figure out how to survive without their star, just as the Suns and the Grizzles have done.

Their first two games without Curry were against the San Antonio Spurs and the Magic. They dropped them both. They will play five games in seven days, including one at Memphis, in the final four games of their road trip.

The Magic are one of the worst teams in the league. Green said that going against a great team is not possible if you can't match that with them.

I don't care who is out there. You can go to the park and be outmatched, but not get punked.
