According to a new report, there was nothing to do with the cancellation of West's performance at the Grammys.

The rapper has been barred from performing at the Grammys due to his concerns about online behavior, according to reports.

The move comes after West had his account locked for 24 hours earlier last week following an rant against Pete Davidson, who is the writing partner of his ex-wife KimKardashian.

A source close to Noah told CNN that he wasn't involved in the decision about the hip-hop star and that he hadn't spoken to producers or the Recording Academy about it.

There was never a request for the Grammys to ban Yeezus from performing. He was not offended by the post. The source told the news network that the idea that the team asked the Grammys to ban the rapper is ridiculous.

Noah also said on Sunday that he said counsel didn't cancel West.

The Independent reached out to the representatives of the comedian.

I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye.

Meta, the parent company of the photo-sharing platform, took action on Wednesday 16 March, saying that West's post was a violation of the platform's policies on hate speech, harassment and bullied.

After the comedian said that the situation between West, his ex-wife and Davidson was "terrifying", West referred to him as a "k**t" in his post.

It shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave, and whatKardashian is going through is terrifying to watch.

West is said to have been angry with Noah for comments he made on his show about the dynamic between the rapper and Davidson.

The Urban Dictionary describes the phrase used by West as a Black person who is anti-Black.

Noah commented on the post before West, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, was suspended from social media.

You are an indelible part of my life. It breaks my heart to see you like this.

I don't care if you support Trump or Pete. I don't care if you are on a path that is dangerously close to peril and pain, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness. We were told to divide ourselves into splinters so that we wouldn't unite into a powerful rod.

The couple filed for divorce in February 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. She was single on March 2.

The couple share four children, and West has made several public appeals to get them back together.

He has taken to the social media site several times to vent his anger towards Davidson.

The Recording Academy and CBS have been contacted by The Independent.

CBS will show the Grammys on 3 April. The full list of nominations can be found here.
