In April 2021, the company promised to update certain of its phones to the newer version of the operating system. We have marked which of the two will also update to Android 13 and which of the eight phones should jump to the new operating system.
The update has only been sent to the LG Velvet in South Korea, and there is no word on when it will be sent internationally. It will bring core features like privacy tools and improved widgets, but it is unclear how much Material You will make its way into the OS.
It is possible that the quirky phone will need a long time to get the newer update since it only received it in December.
Updating its phones is not something the company likes. Most of them only get one platform update, meaning that phones released in 2020 and early 2021 won't get the latest version of the software. The only phones that will be received in 2020 are the Razr phones and the Moto G Power.
Wondering which phones will get the new operating system? The full list of updates was released by Motorola. The update will be rolling out in February of 2022. Here is the full list of updates.
