The need for passengers to wear face masks on some flights has been removed by EasyJet.

Following the removal of UK Covid travel rules last week, the budget carrier will be making a change to their summer schedule on March 27.

Following the removal of mandatory mask wearing in a number of countries, we have reviewed our mask policy onboard and have decided that masks are no longer required at both ends of the route.

Any customers or crew who wish to continue wearing a mask will have their choice respected.

Passengers and crew will no longer be required to wear masks on UK domestic flights, except for routes to and from Scotland.

When both ends of the route have no legal requirement, we aim to remove the requirement on other international routes.

As a pan European airline, we must ensure that we and our customers follow the legal requirements of all the countries we fly to.

We will follow the legal requirements when flying to or from countries with mask requirements.

We urge European governments to have a coordinated approach on the removal of the requirement to make it easy for customers.

We will provide clear information to customers, including detailing the specific mask requirements on their flight.
