The layout change will make it easier to find the photos and albums you are looking for in the library and sharing tabs.

The current library tab layout is now a grid or list view that you can sort through by category. The Photos sharing tab will now have sections for partner sharing, shared albums, and conversations. The changes to the sharing tab are coming to the mobile device of your choice.

Photos is getting a feature that will allow you to import your photos from locations outside the platform. Adding photos from other photo storage services, uploading photos straight from a camera, as well as digitizing physical photos and film, will be possible with this. It doesn't matter if you have run out of storage on Google Photos or not, as the company ended free unlimited storage last year.

This shortcut will take you directly to screenshots you’ve recently taken.
