There are millions of people in the United States, according to a new book. Do we have to choose who attacked Joe?

Kid Rock says Donald Trump asked for his advice on North Korea and the Islamic State.

This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America's Future, by the New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alex Burns, is due to be published on 3 May.

Excerpts have already been reported. The reported remark by Biden was relayed by Politico.

Harris made her mark in the Democratic primary, and bruised Biden, at a debate in Miami in June, when she criticized his opposition to bussing, a way of racially integrating public schools.

Biden was hurt by the insinuation that he had been racist, but still chose the California senator as his running mate, making him the first woman and person of color to be vice president.

Many books will be written on the 2020 campaign with many different versions of events. The first lady and her team will not comment on any of them.

The new politics book by Martin and Burns offers extensive accounts of Harris's struggles as vice-president, according to a report by Politico. The news website said that Kate Bedingfield, Biden's communications director, grew tired of the criticism that the White House received.

In private, Bedingfield had noted that Harris had fallen short of high expectations in the past, and that her Senate office had been messy. Maybe the problem was not the vice-president's staff.

The fact that no one worked on the book bothered to fact-check the claim tells you what you need to know. Vice- President Harris is a force in this administration and I have the utmost respect for the work she does every day to move the country forward.

The book says that Harris wants to work on other issues as well. She felt stymied by Biden's reluctance to commit to serious Senate reform in her attempts to lead the way on voting rights.

According to Burns and Martin, Biden and Harris are friendly but not close, but the president grew frustrated with leaks about Harris, warning aides that he found that any of them was stirring up negative stories.

According to an unnamed senator, Harris's political decline was a slow one. Her approval numbers were even lower than Biden's, and other Democrats were already eyeing the race if he decided not to run.

Biden, the oldest president ever inaugurated, will turn 80 in the year after the election. He intends to run again.

Harris may have cause to agree with a famous judgement by John Nance Garner, vice-president to Franklin D Roosevelt from 1933 to 1941, regardless of the accuracy of the reporting by Martin and Burns. The vice-presidency was not worth a bucket of warm piss.
