Mike Dean: Premier League referee to retire at end of season but likely to continue as VAR official

Mike Dean will retire from refereeing at the end of the 2020-21 season but will continue as a full-time VAR official.

Dean has been a referee in the premier league since 2000 and has issued more red cards than any other referee.

The 53-year-old has taken charge of some of the division's biggest games and is famous for his showman-like technique and no-nonsense approach with players.
