The junior senator from Missouri succeeded in getting himself name-checked by two Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, even before the questioning of Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on Monday. Ted Cruz, eat your heart out.

The piece by Andrew McCarthy, of the conservative National Review, was quoted by the Chairman of the Committee and Richard Blumenthal.

That is our senator. McCarthy has years of experience trying child porn cases.

There are strong arguments against Judge Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court. She argued against mandatory minimum prison sentences for the receipt and distribution of pornographic images because she was against prey on children.

Smears are a hallmark of a Hawley, and he is proud not to back down from the claims destroyed by McCarthy.

Remember when Hawley spoke out against the faith-based attacks against Amy Coney at her confirmation hearing? There were no attacks in those newspapers or his Democratic colleagues.

Voters will stop rewarding such behavior when they stop seeing it.

He said how much he would pay the nominee if he were confirmed as the first Black woman to serve on the court. He found her to be thoughtful and accomplished.

He said that he was admiring how you were sitting through all of the senator talk.

He continued to ask about her supposed leniency towards child pornographers. He said that she deserves the ability to speak for herself on this issue.

He definitely meant to say this was a pretend issue. There was no question about whether she deserved the ability to speak for herself.

We are looking forward to hearing from the nominee, who deserves better than to be smeared by Josh Hawley.
