More than five years after the console was first released, Nintendo has added a new folder-style feature to the Switch'sUI. It is included in the system firmware version 14.0, which is available to download now.
The system doesn't work the way you would expect it to. It doesn't allow you to place anything on the home screen, instead you have to scroll all the way to the right to get to the vertical list. A guide to using the feature has been posted by Nintendo.
It won't help you organize your home screen or full list of games. It was easy for me to keep the list in alphabetical order because I already have a large library of switches. The groups feature is useful for self-curation. I have a bunch of games from the retro re-releases of the arcade and the sega Ages series, and it's easy to put them into custom collections with the switch groups.
The system's Bluetooth audio feature was added to version 13.0 of the Switch's firmware. It wasn't possible before to adjust the volume of the headphones or speakers with buttons on the device. The maximum volume output for some devices has been increased and the audio volume will be displayed in accordance with button presses.
