Mike Signorelli is the founder and lead pastor of V1 Church in New York City.

Signorelli's review of Disney Pixar's latest animated film, which was uploaded to his YouTube channel and has since been taken down, used his theological perspective to assess the coming-of-age story of a teen who discovers her ability to transform.

His review video was uploaded to his Facebook page with the caption, "Christian Review: should your kids?"

The pastor, who holds an English degree and has taught journalism and English, believes that the film is not appropriate for children based on its menstruation references and coming-of-age story, but also because certain elements do not align with a biblical view.

Every parent has a mandate to screen material because every single device you have in your home is a portal, either a window into the things of God or.

The spiritual practices and ancestral communication depicted in the film are condemned by Christian faith according to Signorelli. The film's themes and ideals are secular and say there is no wrong or right anymore.

It is forbidden in the Christian context to communicate with the dead, as we know in Hebrews 9:27, it is appointed once to live and then to die. Do I want my child to be exposed to something that the Christian faith condemns?

The V1 pastor and father of two young daughters stated that while he is aware of the amount of hate his review will garner, he does not aim to become a meme of the Christian who is trying to cancel.

One scene in which ancestors appear to have glowing red eyes and another that involves a ritual at the end of the movie were both disturbing. He pointed out a scene in the movie that advocates to girls the phrase "My body, my choice", which is frequently used by the abortion-rights movement.

There is a tipping point where you think they have gone too far.

I think that we have become more accepting of things that used to be offensive to Christians because we are so desensitized.
