The Los Angeles Clippers are holding onto their spot in the play-in tournament as the regular season winds down.

If the Clippers make the playoffs, head coach Ty Lue wouldn't rule out the possibility of injured stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George making their long-awaited returns.

When asked if he would keep the door open for them to play in the playoffs even if they don&t play during the rest of the season, Lue responded, "Hell yeah I keep it open."

All of his injured players should play at least one regular-season game before taking the floor in the playoffs. He would have no problem with them playing if they were cleared medically.

If the medical guys say they are cleared, that is up to them.

George, who hasn't played since December because of a torn ulnar collateral in his right elbow, has progressed to four-on-four practice with minimal contact against Clippers assistant coaches. At the time of his injury, George was having a good season with 24.7 points, 7.1 rebound and 5.5 assists per game.

It was good to see George on the court for the first time and he had no problems.

Leonard missed the entire season because of a torn right knee in the second-round playoff game against the Utah Jazz.

Norman Powell, the Clippers' swingman who was acquired at the trade deadline, broke his foot in three games and is out for the season. He had the boot removed from his foot, but he hasn't been cleared for contact.

The Los Angeles Lakers will play the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday in a possible play-in game preview.
