  • Passengers on a flight to Albania were filmed singing a song to a crying child.

  • The video has over 7 million views, but he didn't expect it to go global.

  • He told Insider that he captured a moment of tolerance that stole people's hearts.

A man who posted a TikTok showing a group of passengers on a plane singing a song to a crying child has received over 7 million views as people praised the kindness of strangers.

A backpacking trip was going to take place on March 10. The child sitting next to him was crying before the flight took off. He told Insider that a passenger behind them began quietly murmuring the words to Baby Shark in order to comfort the child.

I do public speaking because I host a radio show. In the nine-second video, a number of passengers can be seen clapping and singing the lyrics to the song, before the camera pans to the child who appears to be crying.

Baby Shark is an extremely popular children's song that became the first video ever to be viewed 10 billion times. A full-length movie based on the song is set to be released in three years.

Balochi is a DJ for a Bollywood radio station in the United States. His previous TikTok videos typically received hundreds of views, but when he posted his Baby Shark, it received 7 million views.

He said that he started recording but only got a few seconds as the passengers were singing.

The clips were posted on his social media accounts before he turned off his phone. He had 120 TikTok notifications and a crazy amount of views when he got off the flight. I didn't expect it to blow up.

The video had an on-screen caption that read, "Baby shark to the rescue" and a second one that read, "Crying baby on the plane?" No problem!

Commenters under the video were impressed by the kindness of the passengers. One top comment with 19,000 likes said that all passengers passed the vibe check. One comment with 7,000 likes simply said "humanity" with a wide-eyed emoji.

The video got a positive reaction because it reminded people that they have to have some tolerance. It is not the end of the world.

Though he has had a TikTok account for three years, he said that going viral with this clip taught him that organic videos, where people spontaneously post something that's happening around them, have the power to do really well on the platform.

There is something for everyone at TikTok, he said.

The child was flying with a man and a woman that he assumed were the child's parents. The identities of the individuals are not clear.
