Although a majority of PC players seem indifferent to their friends on Steam looking at which games they play, sometimes players want to play something in secret.

Maybe they want to play their favorite games without being interrupted, especially when it comes to getting notifications that their friend is playing a game.

It can be a bit annoying when you see someone launching the same game multiple times while you are doing something, or when you see a lot of friends online after launching the Steam application on their computer.

Valve allows you to pick and choose which notifications you receive.

You can disabling notifications on your Steam app.
