The March update to the Pixel 6 series will be released on March 21.

  • Google releases the March feature drop for its Pixel series smartphones.
  • The update brings Night Sight to Snapchat, Live Caption for calls, custom stickers in Gboard, and more.
  • The update first arrived on devices up to the Pixel 5. On March 21, the OTA update has been made available for the Pixel 6 series.
  • The update also includes C-Band support for Pixel 6 devices on Verizon.

It is March, which means it is time for another feature drop. Several new features will be included in the latest update for the devices. The update makes it easier for users to communicate with each other.

Night Sight comes to Snapchat

Last year, the Quick Tap to snap feature was made easier to use by the company, and now they are bringing Night Sight to the platform as well. You can now use the low-light mode on Snapchat to lighten up both images and video, thanks to the new feature on the Pixel 6 series.

Night Mode is one of the camera features that will be coming to Snapchat, so it's good to see the best camera feature on the phone arriving on the app.

Communicate better with Gboard and Live Caption/Translate

With the March update, Live Caption is getting even better. It is easier to communicate with users who cannot speak with Live Caption.

The Live Caption feature can be enabled by using the volume button and selecting the icon. The person on the other end will speak your response aloud. Quick responses are also included.

Live Translate is being improved with better support for the Spanish language, as well as Interpreter Mode. Users can enable the feature for Spanish-language videos and other types of media to be automatically translated into English, French, German, Italian, and Japanese.

Gboard can be used to figure out what emoji you want to use based on the words you type and can even make them better with the Emoji kitchen. Gboard can take those exact words and turn them into custom stickers for your friends and family to enjoy.

It's not clear if the Stickers will be available in other languages or if they will only be available in English.

More information is readily available from the At a Glance widgets on the Pixel phones. The update included fitness activity and more. If there is a holiday coming up, there will be reminders to turn off any alarms, as well as earthquake alerts. It will integrate with the Personal Safety app to allow a safety check.

You can now check the battery levels of your devices at the click of a button. There is a new battery life information that is available on the At a Glance widget.

Duo's new Live Sharing feature, which was announced alongside the Galaxy S22, gives users the option to host watch parties with YouTube and other apps.

The features will be rolled out to the devices on Monday. Unfortunately, owners of the Pixel 6 series will have to wait for their update, which will arrive later this month.

The March feature drop has been available for some time. Night Sight is supported on the latest flagships of Google. The update has a lot of bug fixes from the March security patch, which should make your phone run smoothly.

The C-Band support for the Pixel 6 devices on the carrier gives users access to the highly-coveted spectrum. C-band access isn't coming to older Pixel phones in the U.S.

The wait is over! @Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have officially been certified to work on @Verizon's 5G C-Band network, giving you access to the full power of 5G Ultra Wideband. Phones will be updated via a software update that will begin rolling out later today. #TeamPixel pic.twitter.com/IS3UcR05RcMarch 21, 2022
