Fortnite has already raised $36 million for Ukraine relief

All of the proceeds from the new season of the game will go towards humanitarian relief for Ukraine. The developer said it had raised $36 million as part of the effort. Direct Relief, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations Children's Fund, and the World Food Programme are some of the aid groups that will receive the money. The net proceeds from the game will be donated by Microsoft.

The launch of a new season is one of the most lucrative periods for the game, with players buying into the new battle pass in order to get exclusive characters and other in-game content. The removal of building and the addition of Doctor Strange are some of the notable additions to this season.

Some gaming companies are raising funds for humanitarian efforts. A huge bundle of nearly 1,000 games on Itch.io raised more than $6 million, while the Humble Bundle has raised more than $12 million. The fundraising efforts for Fortnite will last until April 3rd.
