Bale could be in doubt for the World Cup play-off against Austria on Thursday after Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said he missed the game against Barcelona because he was unwell.

Bale reported problems on Saturday.

Ancelloti said that he wasn't up to playing.

He will join up with the national team and they will decide whether he plays or not.

Bale was due to travel to Wales on Sunday having been included in manager Robert Page's squad for the World Cup semi-final, despite playing in only two games for Real Madrid since his last international appearance.
