According to a report by Adam Schefter, Gregory agreed to a deal with the Cowboys that would pay him $70 million over five years.
Hours after that report, it was reported that Gregory had backed out of his agreement to sign with the Broncos.
Dallas tried to change the deal after the two sides agreed to it, according to Walker.

According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Gregory's deal with the Broncos is for the same five years and $70 million that Dallas was set to pay him.
Gregory spent his entire career with the Cowboys. He was drafted by the team in the second round.
The 29-year-old sat out the entire season because of an indefinite suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He had been suspended twice for violating the substance abuse policy.
Gregory missed a drug test in November 2016 and was suspended for the playoffs and the season.
Gregory was reinstated by the NFL in March 2020. Over the past two seasons, he has appeared in 22 games. He had six sacks and 17 quarterback hits in 12 games during the season, tying his career high.
