Jones signed a three-year, $51 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency.

I have always been a fan of Derek Carr. Jones told Jordan Schultz of The Game Day that he wants to cement himself as one of the best ever.

Jones is one of the top pass-rushers of his generation, with his 107.5 career sacks ranking second among active players behind only Von Miller. He earned his fourth Pro Bowl selection in 2021.

The Raiders defense ranked just 26th in points allowed last season. The upgrade is needed in the AFC West, which features several elite quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson and Justin Herbert.

Las Vegas helped out Carr with the addition of Davante Adams.

The team reached the playoffs last season and could win a Super Bowl.

Jones will have the chance to work with Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels and Patrick Graham, who were both on the New England staff when Jones was there.

Jones said that Patrick Graham is a great coach and that Josh McDaniels and his old team made it feel like home.
