The Prime Minister is in his official residence to discuss the formation of the government in the states where the party won the majority in the recent Assembly Elections.

According to a report, the Prime Minister is being briefed on the decisions taken by the top leadership of the party.

Rajnath Singh is said to be present at the meeting.

The Yogi Adityanath cabinet is likely to take decisions on stray cattle.

The CM will take the oath of office on March 25. There is no word on the size of his cabinet or the names of the various ministries. Several rounds of talks were had with PM Modi and the central leadership of the party.

According to sources, the party is balancing the expectations of state leaders.

The Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh, will continue for a second term. The announcement came a day after Mr. Singh met the top leadership of the party.

The BJP won a record victory in Uttar Pradesh earlier this month, scooping up 255 of the 403 assembly seats. Its allies won 18 more seats. The tally was 43 lower than the last elections but the party's vote share saw a climb.
