A Dominican drug trafficker who was jealous of David Ortiz and felt disrespected by him had him shot at a Dominican nightclub in 2019.

The Boston Globe reported on Saturday that Edward Davis, the former Boston police commissioner, found that the theory of the crime developed by Dominican prosecutors was incorrect.

According to the newspaper, Davis said that the drug trafficker had placed a bounty on the man and that the hit squad had tried to kill him. The Dominican authorities did not cooperate with the private investigation.

Peralta is being held in Puerto Rico on charges of conspiracy to import cocaine and heroin. In December of last year, the U.S. Treasury extradited a drug lord to the U.S. territory.

According to the Globe, the findings of Davis were not made public until after Peralta was in U.S. custody.

There is no charges against Peralta in relation to the shooting. The lawyer for Peralta said that the man had nothing to do with the attempt on the life of the man.

It is not close to being in the ballpark to say he had something to do with this.

When he heard about the news from Davis and Prado, he was sad, confused, angry, and a former high-flier.

The target was supposed to be Sixto David Fernandez, who was sharing a table with Ortiz when he was shot. The hit men thought they were talking about one of the most popular Dominican ballplayers of all time.

Thirteen people are awaiting trial in the Dominican Republic for their roles in the shooting.

Further legal action in the Dominican and U.S. courts will clarify why this happened to him.

In 2004, he helped the Red Sox end their 86-year title drought by batting.....................

The team retired his uniform number 34 after he retired with 541 home runs. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January.

He lived in the Dominican Republic for part of the year, but he was still in the Boston area. He was wounded in a shooting in June. After the shooting, doctors in the Dominican Republic removed his gallbladder and part of his intestine, and he underwent further surgery in the U.S.

The most important thing is that I am alive, and I want to know why anyone would want me dead.
