Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy banned activities by political opposition parties.
Zelenskyy said in a video address on Sunday that any activity of a number of political parties during the martial law is suspended.
The 11 opposition parties are: opposition platform - For Life, Nashi, opposition bloc, Left opposition, Union of Left Forces, State, Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine, Socialist Party of Ukraine, and Volodymyr Saldo Bloc.
The martial law was imposed by Ukraine. Martial law is a law administered by the military and may be used as a response to a crisis.
Zelenskyy said that wartime shows the meanness of personal ambitions of those who try to put their own ambitions above the interests of the state.
Any activity of politicians trying to split or collaborate will not succeed. He said that the activities of those aimed at politicians will not succeed, but will receive a harsh response.
Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice will immediately take comprehensive measures to enforce the ban.
Zelenskyy said that everyone must take care of the interests of the state. It is for the sake of life.
