Video games are turning into TV. The classic fighting game series is being adapted into an animation. The first trailer is here.
I don't follow the games myself, but the belief is that the story picks up prior to the events of the game. Jin Kazama is a young man and martial arts expert who grew up under the guidance of his mother. When an evil force takes everything from Jin, he sets out on a quest for vengeance and power that leads him to the high-stakes King of Iron First Tournament.
It is important to remember that games don't always have the most comprehensible stories. That is a hurdle and an opportunity for the creators of Bloodline. They can't count on viewers to know the series lore inside and out, but at the same time that opens up the possibilities for artistic license to twist the fiction in cool directions.
It is not clear which studio is making Bloodline, but it has had success with previous games. The streaming service has added a number of new shows since it hit the scene, including Castlevania and the League of Legend's source series.
